Vancouver International Film Centre and Vancity Theatre

This 19,000 sq.ft. film centre included a 206-seat theatre and 3000 sq.ft. of offices and public areas. With three different clients (the VIFF, the city, and the developer), there were many diverse demands to be met and we got involved on all fronts, including space planning, interior design, and contract administration.

Specific challenges included adding visual interest to the acoustic wall panels, ensuring sufficient office capacity to accommodate volunteers during festival crunch times, and providing kitchen facilities for catered events.
