IDIBC 2008 Bronze - Workplace Total

Transform an aging 6,700 sq.ft. office floor into a design studio with open floor plan promoting a team-oriented, responsible environment. Studio organized around courtyard supplying natural air circulation & light to complement the east-facing window-wall & internal skylights. Green elements include: PVC-free vinyl floor covering, recyclable carpet tiles, woven bamboo ply for millwork; reduced energy use by half-lamping & thermoplastic ceiling tiles as a giant light diffuser; indoor plants for better air quality; reuse & repurpose existing reception desk, cabinetry, etc; low-flow faucets & dual-flush toilets along with shower facilities for bicycle commuters.
