HOW FCDG GETS INVOLVED AT EACH PHASE

Concepting
We discuss the client's vision for the project and how the space will ultimately be used. Overall design concepts and preliminary space planning begins. Specific requirements, such as risk-management considerations, LEED® initiatives, display suites, and sales centres are addressed. -
Design Development
This phase involves determining the details of the space, including selecting materials and finishes, completing elevations and perspectives, and finalizing space planning. If expert consultation is required (i.e. an acoustic specialist), their input is incorporated during design development. -
Construction
We review and prepare consolidated technical drawings based on specifications and drawings provided by the architect, structural and electrical engineers, HVAC, carpenters, etc. When requested by our clients, we also coordinate and oversee construction personnel, manage the tender process, and ensure projects proceed smoothly and efficiently. -
Completion
We know what's involved in taking a project through to completion. We oversee the various stages of construction, troubleshoot if problems arise, and issue change orders as necessary. We keep the client informed every step of the way through our strict sign-off procedure, ensuring nothing is done without proper approval. After completion, we conduct final deficiency walk-through inspections to ensure all commitments have been met.
